PMH Centenary Book
Safe in our Hands

Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation has marked 100 years of Princess Margaret Hospital for Children (PMH) with the release of its new book Safe in our Hands, a stunning 184-page look at the colourful history and bright future of paediatric care at PMH.

PMH Foundation Acting Chief Executive Officer Lesley Hooper said the commemorative book captured the amazing outcomes achieved by the hospital plus the incredible personal stories of strength, dedication, hope and courage of patients and families and hospital staff.

“Unlike any other commemorative book, Safe in our Hands skilfully captures hospital life in its present day, while reflecting on its amazing journey through the personal accounts of past and present staff members,” Mrs Hooper said.

“There are so many employees, both medical and clerical, who have left a mark at PMH and the stories of those featured in the book are really quite incredible.”

Safe in our Hands was written by former senior metropolitan newspaper executives David Webb and David Warren who have a special interest in researching and writing local history.
