This August and September, Woolworths stores across Western Australia will host the annual Fresh Future Children's Hospital Appeal raising funds for the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and Children’s Leukaemia and Cancer Research Foundation.
Funds raised by WA stores will fund facilities and medical equipment to help Australia's sickest children. This year, funds raised for PMH will be used to establish a Palliative Care Unit for non-oncology children in WA.
Woolworths Supermarkets will be selling a variety of fundraising merchandise on behalf of the Foundations at their checkouts including PMH First Aid Kits, Stitches bandaid tins, Stitches colouring-in kits, plus Fresh Future flower bouquets and $2 Flower Donation Cards to create a “flower wall of support”.
In addition to generous personal donations contributed through the collection tins at the checkouts, funds are raised by the staff at Woolworths through the hosting of sausage sizzles, raffles, lamington drives, trivia nights, jellybean guessing competitions and scores of head-shaves!
The PMH Foundation would like to thank the staff of Woolworths for their continuing support and urge all Western Australians to shop at their local Woolworth’s store and contribute to the 2007 Fresh Future Children's Hospital Appeal.
The Appeal will be held from Monday 6 August to Sunday 30 September.
