Bear By Night Ball 2007

On behalf of the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, we would like to thank you for supporting the 2007 Rio Carnival Bear by Night Ball. The evening was a huge success and raised over $175,000 – a new record!

Proceeds from this year’s Ball will be used to fund a state-of-the-art Video Bronchoscope for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. This vital equipment is used to intubate very ill patients, enabling them to breathe with the aid of a ventilator.

Due to such an excellent result this year, we will also be purchasing an Electroencephalograph, a vital tool in assessing brain function. An EEG is extremely important in the diagnosis and classification of disorders such as epilepsy.
