A Climb for Childhood Cancer

“The Adventurers” officially launch “A Climb for Childhood Cancer” to be completed in September 2010 as a fundraiser for Childhood Cancer patients at Princess Margaret Hospital, Ward 3B, The Total Care Unit.
Lead by Perth based businessmen Rick Parish (ex-SAS soldier, former NSCA Pararescue Commander and Chairman of M&O Global) and Peter Wilson (Former champion Eagles Footballer and AFL legend).
Rick’s 3 year old son Elliot was diagnosed in October 2009 with brain and spinal cancer and has undergone continuous treatment at Ward 3B.
The Adventurers are being established by Rick & Peter to raise funds for PMH Ward 3B by undertaking arduous and sometimes dangerous adventures and challenges. “A Climb for Childhood Cancer” involves people from all walks of life committed to making a difference to Children and Families alike suffering from cancer!
The objective is to reach the summit of Mount Blanc. It’s a tough, challenging and physically demanding climb but it pales by comparison to what many children and their families go through every day in Ward 3B, Princess Margaret Hospital.
Climbing Mont Blanc is a tremendous challenge requiring determination to succeed. All participants will receive the necessary training and climbing skills, and no previous mountaineering experience is needed.
To become part of this challenging and rewarding experience The Adventurers are looking for Corporate Sponsors & Donors and Individuals to participate in the climb.
> Five Major Corporate Sponsors
Including naming rights. Each company sponsor will be given a placement for one individual to complete the climb. Donation Cost $50,000.
> Individuals to complete the climb
No previous climbing experience is needed. Individuals cover their own costs for the trip and must plan to raise $20,000 for PMH Ward 3B
