PMH Stitches Megazone
PMH Foundation is proud to support the hospital's fantastic play area, the Megazone. The Foundation contributes more than $100,000 each year to provide staff and equipment for the facility which is situated on the top floor of the hospital.
The Megazone was built to 'heal through happiness' providing play areas to assist the developmental needs of patients. The area provides a comfortable space for families to be together, away from the ward. While children are playing, parents can relax in a comforting environment knowing their children are happy and entertained.
The facility also gives children access to a huge range of activities. There are specialist areas for arts and crafts, reading and general play. Other features include a collection of arcade games, a 64-seat theatre, fantastic outdoor play area, a sensory room and the Joan Longley Basketball Court.
