Stitches’ Megazone
Stitches’ Megazone was built to 'heal through happiness' providing play areas to assist the developmental needs of patients. The area, which is situated on the top floor of the hospital, provides a comfortable space for families to be together away from the ward. It also gives children access to a huge range of specialist activities including arts and crafts, arcade games, a 64-seat theatre, outdoor play area and basketball court.
Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation provided an initial grant of more than $3 million to build the Megazone and contributes more than $130,000 annually for staff and equipment.
